Stroke ensues when there is a deficient supply of oxygen and nutrients to the body cells. Body cells begin to die immediately leading to a paralysis. Therefore, treatment of this condition should be handled with utmost urgency.

Causes of stroke

•Heart valve disease-the inability of any of the valves to close and open as required. This may lead to a blockage or leakage in the circulatory system. Heart attacks, congenital heart illnesses and rheumatoid fever are all possible causes.

•Coronary artery disease-this is the most popular heart condition. Atherosclerosis-also known as hardening of the coronary greatly contributes to this disease. This blockages hinder proper blood flow of blood and consequently a deficiency of oxygen in the blood.

Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation is a first aid procedure performed on a person when their heart stops beating. These compressions aid in restoring normal blood flow from heart to other parts of the body.
